LumaCue

Record a video without memorizing every line

LumaCue is a browser teleprompter with a video recording studio. Prepare a script, place the cue near your camera, read while you record, then review the file before you publish it.

What LumaCue is for

LumaCue is for people who want to speak to a camera without repeating takes just to remember the next sentence. It is not a video editor or a content-management system. The current product focuses on one part of the process: preparing a script and recording a take while the words remain in view.

It runs in a browser, with no account or separate app installation. Open the studio, paste a script and choose a comfortable scroll pace. Recording depends on your browser, device and camera permissions, so make a short test before an important shoot.

Keep the cue near the lens, not in the video

The reading cue helps keep your eyes close to the camera while you speak. Raise your phone or display to eye level and keep the lens near the text. For a natural delivery, write in spoken language, split long thoughts into shorter paragraphs and leave room for pauses.

The script is a reading aid; it is not overlaid on the recording. The saved file contains the camera image and the audio track you chose, if microphone access is available. That makes the text useful to you during a take without placing it in the viewer’s frame.

How browser recording works

  1. 01

    Prepare your script

Write or paste your text, check names and numbers aloud, and break the material into sections that are easy to resume.

  2. 02

    Check framing and sound

Open the recording studio, explicitly enable the camera and microphone if you need audio, then review a short preview.

  3. 03

    Record, review and save

Play the take back and check both picture and sound. The file is temporary in the current tab; download it to keep a separate copy.

Your script stays in your browser storage

LumaCue saves scripts, the script list and preferences in browser storage on this device. The app does not send them to its own cloud. A new recording is not uploaded by the app either: until you download it, the video is a temporary object in the open browser tab.

Local storage means there is no cross-device sync. Private browsing, clearing site data or browser settings can remove scripts. Export a backup of important text, and download and check a finished video before closing the tab. The personal data policy explains the data flow in more detail.

What is available today

The current version includes a script editor, a reading prompt and recording through a supported browser camera and microphone. It does not include user accounts, a cloud library of takes or a built-in video editor. You still need to check the result in your browser and keep a copy of the file.

The longer-term direction is a useful set of tools for creators in one place. That is a direction, not a promise about specific features or release dates. This page describes only what you can use today.
