Applicable rules
Processing requirements and user rights may vary with applicable law and the circumstances in which you use the service. This policy does not limit rights that cannot be limited under mandatory applicable law.
Data categories, purpose and local storage
To run the teleprompter, the browser stores the script list and text, active script, reading settings, language and theme in localStorage on your device. The purpose is to display and restore your working material. The application does not send these values to a LumaCue server; it has no separate server retention period for them.
Script text may contain personal data if you add it yourself. Do not include another person’s information without a valid basis. Scripts remain until deleted in the app or until site data is cleared. Private browsing and browser settings may remove them sooner; export a backup of important text.
Camera, microphone and video recordings
After you choose a recording action, the browser may ask for camera and microphone access. The stream and browser-created file can contain your image, voice and personal data about people in frame. The application uses the stream for preview and recording in the current tab and does not upload it to a LumaCue server.
A recording is temporary in the open tab until downloaded and may be removed when the tab closes or reloads. After download, the application does not control its copies; storage and retention are up to you, your device and the applications you choose. Camera and microphone permissions are managed in browser or device settings.
Cookies, cache and analytics
In its current configuration, LumaCue does not use cookies for sign-in, analytics or advertising; the language is part of the page path, such as /en or /ru. The application has no configured analytics integration. A service worker may keep the app shell and previously opened HTML pages in Cache Storage for offline access. This cache is not intended to store scripts or recordings.
Scripts and preferences are in localStorage, while cached pages are in Cache Storage. You can clear both through browser site settings. Clearing data removes scripts, and offline pages may need to be fetched again.
Site requests and hosting
When a page loads, the hosting server receives an ordinary network request. It may include an IP address, date and time, page path, browser details and technical response. The current application code has no registration, contact form, script API, cloud sync or analytics integration.
The contents of technical logs, their retention periods and processing terms depend on the infrastructure hosting the site and applicable legal requirements. Do not put scripts or other sensitive information in page addresses or browser messages.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request information about processing, correct or delete data, restrict processing, or withdraw consent when consent is the legal ground. The scope, exceptions and process for exercising these rights depend on applicable law.
Third parties and policy updates
If you follow an external link or save a file through another application, that service handles it under its own rules. This notice does not replace the terms of your browser, operating system, hosting provider or third-party websites.
If LumaCue adds new ways to process data, this policy will be updated to describe the relevant purposes and rules.
