The service and access
LumaCue provides a browser script editor, an on-screen reading cue and video recording through devices supported by your browser. The current version requires no account or payment. Features depend on your browser, device, HTTPS connection and the permissions you grant.
The service is provided in its current form. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every browser or recovery of an undownloaded take after the tab is closed.
Your scripts and recordings
You retain the rights you hold in your own scripts and recordings. Before using material, make sure you have the necessary rights to any included text, images, music, voices and other work, as well as required consent from people you film or identify.
The application does not send scripts or recordings to a LumaCue server. Scripts are stored in browser storage, while an undownloaded video is temporary in the open tab. You are responsible for backing up scripts and downloading the finished file.
Acceptable use
- Use LumaCue lawfully and respect other people’s rights, privacy and safety.
- Do not interfere with the site, bypass technical restrictions or use the service to distribute malicious content.
- Do not treat an undownloaded file as a backup; review the take and save it separately.
Devices, browsers and third-party services
The browser requests camera and microphone access only after a user action. Permissions, device settings or browser limitations may prevent access. Recording format, playback and download behavior also vary by device.
Links to other platforms are provided for reference. They do not imply a partnership with or endorsement by LumaCue; those services have their own terms.
Applicable rules and changes
Features and these terms may change as the product develops. Updated terms will be published on this page. Nothing here removes user rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Applicable legal rules depend on the circumstances and where you use the service. These terms do not select one country’s law or exclude mandatory rules that give users rights they cannot waive.
