Write for short spoken beats
01
Put the hook first
Open with the useful point, question or result. Avoid a long greeting before the viewer knows what the video offers.
02
Keep each line easy to glance at
Use short sentences and paragraph breaks. Put a pause or visual change between separate points.
03
Practice the first line twice
Read it once to check pacing, then say it conversationally. Adjust the scroll speed until you can finish a thought without chasing the text.
Check portrait framing and export
Portrait is a useful starting point for vertical short-form video. Keep the phone steady, place the prompt near the front camera and make sure your gestures remain inside the visible frame.
LumaCue’s composition control arranges the preview. It does not promise to crop or re-encode the file: the browser supplies the recorded camera stream. Check a downloaded sample on the device before publishing.
Make separate takes easy to compare
- Record one short section at a time if the delivery feels rushed.
- Leave a brief pause before and after a line so edits are easier later.
- Review eye line, sound and framing together; a fast read is not useful if the viewer cannot follow it.
Common questions
Can I use the same script for TikTok and Reels?
You can start from the same spoken script, then adjust its opening and call to action for the audience and format you intend to publish.
Does the composition control create a vertical video file?
It changes the camera preview layout, not the recorded stream. Check a short saved sample to confirm the output orientation on your device.
Practical guides
Try it with your own script
Open the tool, paste a script and start reading. You can enable the camera separately when you are ready to record.
